I installed Windows 7 on my Dell mini 10. Was bored of Windows XP coz quite a few drivers were crapping and it was evident that Windows XP days are gone and Windows 7 is the future. Though the netbook is seriously under powered and does not have a Optical drive, I installed Windows 7 Home Basic 32 bit. The config of the netbook is an Intel Atom 1.6GHz, 1 GB RAM and 320 GB HDD.
The times it took to install are as follows:
Copying Started: 8:28:45
Finished Copying: 8:36:11
Completing Installing: 8:41:43
Setup is preparing your computer for first use: 8:42:45
Computer name: 8:45:00
Desktop: 8:48:50
Pretty decent figure I must say for a netbook.
